The Story

The EQ that moves. Draw a path for every band β€” then let your whole curve travel.

Crazy S is not an A/B morph EQ. Every one of its 20 filters travels its own hand-drawn path across the spectrum, and a single global Morph position moves them all at once β€” locked to your DAW, free-running, or right under your fingers. Sweeps, wobbles, vowels, risers and filter rides that would take a dozen automation lanes happen in one move.

Why you’ll love Crazy S

  • ✏️ Draw the movement β€” freehand a path for any band, up to 96 points each. The filter follows exactly what you drew.
  • 🎚️ 20 bands, 7 filter types β€” bells, shelves, low/high pass, band pass and notch, all morphing together.
  • πŸ”Š Analog or digital, per band β€” flip any filter between an analog-voiced state-variable core and a clean digital curve.
  • ⏱️ Sync it or free it β€” 32 Bars down to 1/32T (dotted & triplet included), or free-run 0.01–40 Hz.
  • ↔️ Forward, Ping-Pong or Backward β€” with Linear, Accelerate or Decelerate easing.
  • ⚑ Zero latency β€” no lookahead, no delay compensation, no excuses.
  • πŸŽ›οΈ 250 factory presets for instant inspiration.

One morph, twenty filters

Place a band, then drag from it to draw where it should go. That path becomes its journey: frequency, gain and Q all travel along it. Do it again for another band, and another. Now one Morph position sweeps your entire EQ through a shape you designed β€” not a crossfade between two static curves, but real, independent movement per band.

✏️ The graph β€” draw, drag, shape

  • Double-click empty space to add a filter.
  • Drag a handle to set frequency and gain.
  • Drag from a handle’s outer ring to freehand-draw its morph path.
  • Mouse-wheel a handle for Q.
  • Right-click for type, enable and delete.
  • Live spectrum analyzer, per-band gradient fills, and a glowing dot showing exactly where every filter sits right now.

🎚️ MOTION β€” how it moves

  • Source β€” Manual (you drive it), Auto (Sync) (locked to host tempo) or Auto (Free) (its own clock).
  • Direction β€” Forward, Ping-Pong or Backward.
  • Easing β€” Linear, Accelerate or Decelerate, so the motion breathes instead of ticking.
  • Morph β€” the master position (0–100%), automatable and MIDI-mappable. Ride it by hand or let it run.

⏱️ TIMING β€” how fast, and where

  • Rate (Bars/Beats) β€” 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 and 1 Bar, plus 1/2 through 1/32 with dotted and triplet variants.
  • Free Rate β€” 0.01 Hz for slow evolving movement up to 40 Hz for audio-rate mangling.
  • Position β€” a live meter showing the morph travelling through your paths.
  • Bypass β€” freezes all movement instantly, holding the curve exactly where it is. Perfect for finding the sweet spot, then parking there.

🎯 Per-band controls

  • Type β€” Bell, Low Shelf, High Shelf, Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass or Notch. Set it to None to disengage the band.
  • Analog / Digital β€” an analog-style zero-delay state-variable filter that stays smooth and click-free under fast morphing, or a clean digital response.
  • Q β€” 0.10 to 18.0, from wide and musical to surgical.
  • Gain β€” Β±24 dB.
  • Q and Gain read out live as the morph moves, and editing them reshapes the whole path instead of flattening it.

πŸŽ›οΈ Global controls

  • Input / Output β€” trim in and out, Β±24 dB.
  • Mix β€” 0–100% for parallel EQ movement under the dry signal.

πŸŽ›οΈ 250 factory presets

Start fast with 250 hand-built presets across twelve categories β€” vocals, drums, bass, instruments, master bus, tone shaping, filtering, tonal and rhythmic morphs, vowels, risers and abstract sound design. Every one is a real drawn curve, not a parameter dump. Browse with next/previous, save your own, and recall everything exactly as you left it β€” paths included.

Built for your studio

  • Zero latency β€” nothing to compensate, nothing to nudge.
  • Click-free morphing β€” smoothed motion that stays clean even at fast sync rates.
  • Full MIDI Learn β€” map any control to your hardware in seconds.
  • Type-in values β€” double-click any field for an exact number.
  • Fully resizable, high-resolution interface with a real-time display.

Specifications

  • Formats: VST3, AU, AAX & Standalone
  • Systems: Windows & macOS (64-bit)
  • Bands: Up to 20, with up to 96 path points each
  • Presets: 250 included
